Horse Box by KatarniaHolbart Horse Box by KatarniaHolbart
So for some reason I deiced that I wanted to take discarded jewelry, watch, cigar, ect. boxes and redecorate them. This is one of three that I stared and one of two that I finish (waiting till I get a part to finish the third). It took me a while to get the picture right until I found that the glue that unstuck on the side of one and was hanging. Sigh, at least it is not that noticeable.

For some reason this came about the same time I gotten into the Lolita Fashion, maybe a coincidence.

Made from random discarded jewelry that I found in a dumpster and a box that I bought at a reuse center.

Update: sold to a friend of mine for his daughter who liked horses.

This is beautiful! And made of discarded jewelry! An amazing idea! It's really effective and I love the chain surrounding the horse center piece. Really draws the eye.

Well thank you. The chain was more of an off idea but I am pleased that it worked out myself.

It helps to have an eye for the unusual and make it into something, a bit tricky but in time you can develop a knack for it. Also being able to walk past a craft store dumpster I tend to look into quiet a bit. Also if there is a creative reuse center near where you live that might help, that where I got the box.

Creative reuse center? My best random bits come from the stuff left at the lost and found for three months without claim. Though since i work at a mall most of the stuff is really abysmal ;)

Oh, Creative Reuse a place where people and/or companies donate random stuff to be sold off. Mostly art and office stuff with a smattering of vintage and other thing that one would not normally find in a thrift store.
Other than that, what do you get in the lost and found. I figured their be a bit more interesting stuff that people forget.

Lost and found? Lots of keys, more plastic jewelry than I would have thought likely, single gloves, stuff like that. Of course, no one I work with knows metals, so the managers sometimes come to me to ask if they ought to put something in the safe. :giggle:
